Nope, just inspirational internet people so far.  I’ve never actually met anyone on my tumblr before.

Last night I had a dream that I went to the park and runningwithguts:and fat-to-fast: were there and so we worked out and then went swimming in a pool because it was too damn hot.

I’m pretty sure this is a sign that I’ve been looking at tumblr too much.

Make sure you up the amount of stretching and icing you do and it may help a little bit.
                                                                                                
Yeah that’s exactly what I have been doing.  I have a bag of mixed frozen pineapple,banana, and strawberries on my knee as I write this.  My best guess is it is just some over-training stuff, possibly coming from a tight hamstring.  It’s on the wrong side to be IT band issues, I’ve had that before and I know how that feels.

Quick update on my miles so far.  I’ve done 24 miles over the last couple days.  After my last run my right knee has tightened up a bit.  It doesn’t hurt much but sort of feels like a bruise on the side of my kneecap.  If my kneecap was a clock, it would be sore at 2 o’clock.  I decided not to run this morning, just to make sure I don’t injury something but my guess is it’s just an over-training thing where I went from 6 miles a week to 50 miles a week.

Also, I haven’t taken any pictures because my phone is a bastard.  In order to use it as an mp3 player while I run I have to use electrical tape and tape the cord to the phone.  Otherwise it stops playing every 2 minutes because of static electricity building up while the cord moves or something.  I got an app called ‘headphone blocker’ and that seems to help.  The only thing worse than no music while running is a song that starts and stops and starts and stops 800 times during your run.  Drives me crazy.

I’ll probably get a separate mp3 player for running to solve this problem, but I think it’s safer to have my phone on me in case something should happen, and it feels kinda silly to run with a phone and an mp3 player when the damn phone should do both.  /rant

Ohhh but you will, especially if you haven’t done a 50+ mi week in awhile. Mwahaha, you’ll probably hate us all by the end of the week, huh?
                                                                                                   
Yeah I haven’t done a 50 mile week since fall/early winter last year.  After it got super cold and icy I stopped putting down that many miles.  Honestly I’m not worried about the miles. The only issue I would have is I don’t know if my knees/hips will be able to take such a fast increase in mileage.  I’ve ran into IT band issues before with big increases like this before because my hips get real tight and it starts throwing a wrench into my stride.  I guess we’ll see :)

Local grown organic golden delicious apples for 60 cents a pound?  Why yes I’ll take a whole bag.

You should take a photo of yourself after each of these runs so we can see how you progressively become more fatigued. :)

7 Miles, last night, 7 miles this morning.  Shooting for 10 tonight after work.  The weather has been perfect!

Haha, SOB is at like 4-5,000 ft. So I might die too. :)
                                                                                                   
Then we both can go out like warriors.  I’d rather die running than sitting on the couch eating junk food. /highfive

Duuude, you might want to slow it down a little bit. ;) It looks like you’re in for a pretty heavy mileage week. Please don’t die. hehe.
